First run, step by step.
RikuFlow is not code-signed yet, so your system asks once before the first launch. Only the first run prompts; updates installed by the app do not.
macOS
Download: a .zip of RikuFlow.app, one for Apple Silicon and one for Intel. Requires macOS 13.5 or later.
- Unzip the download and move
RikuFlow.appto Applications. - Open it. macOS says “Apple could not verify” the app. Click Done.
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway.
- Confirm once more. From now on it opens normally.
Since macOS 15, right-click → Open no longer bypasses the check. Use Open Anyway in Privacy & Security.
Windows
Download: a .zip. Requires Windows 10 or 11.
Either unblock the zip before extracting:
- Right-click the downloaded
.zip→ Properties. - Tick Unblock at the bottom, then OK.
- Extract the zip and open
RikuFlow.exe.
Or, if you already extracted it, when SmartScreen appears:
- Click More info.
- Click Run anyway.
Linux
Download: a .tar.gz. Requires glibc 2.28 or later.
tar xzf rikuflow-*.tar.gz && ./rikuflow/rikuflowAn optional script in the folder adds a desktop entry so RikuFlow shows up in your app launcher.
After the first launch
- RikuFlow opens in your browser at a local address on your own computer.
- Paste the key from your email to activate. After activation it works offline.
- Connect a provider in Settings, create a project, and run your first node.
- Updates are offered inside the app with their release notes. A backup is taken before each update, and a failed update rolls back on its own.
